Relationships Matter programme is a psychosocial group intervention which helps
people to understand and focus on their relationships and explore how those
relationships interact with their own behaviour. The Intervention covers both familial and other
whole family approach
It is estimated that for every problematic substance user, between five and 20 family members are affected by their use.
This training will help practitioners understand how family systems organize themselves around the behaviours of the person with a drug and/or alcohol problem and gives guidance on working with family communication and conflict.
